According to the Sun, the couple split after struggling to balance Davidson’s demanding work schedule with the responsibilities of being new parents. The comedian and actor reportedly spent significant time traveling for work following the birth of their daughter Scottie.
“Pete has been traveling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born,” an insider told the outlet. “It was very hard for him because, obviously, he has to work to make money.”
The source added that financial support alone was not enough for Hewitt as the couple adjusted to parenthood.
Despite the breakup, sources said Davidson and Hewitt remained focused on raising their daughter together.
An insider said the pair was “working out the best co-parenting solution is their top priority” following the split.
The reported separation came only months after the couple welcomed their first child together. Their daughter Scottie was born on December 12, 2025.
At the time, the pair appeared to be entering a major new stage in their relationship after a romance that quickly became serious.
Davidson and Hewitt confirmed their relationship publicly in March 2025.
The romance immediately drew media attention because of Davidson’s well-known dating history. Throughout his career, the former “Saturday Night Live” star frequently made headlines for both his personal life and entertainment projects.
By July 2025, Hewitt was photographed with a visible baby bump, confirming the couple was preparing to welcome a child together only months after going public with their relationship.
The pair largely kept details about their relationship private despite public interest. Davidson continued working on film, television, and comedy projects, while Hewitt maintained a relatively low public profile throughout her pregnancy.
The arrival of their daughter in December appeared to mark a happy milestone for the couple. However, reports later suggested the relationship had become increasingly strained behind the scenes.
Signs of trouble reportedly surfaced before news of the split became public.
A source told Page Six that Davidson and Hewitt were “navigating relationship struggles,” although details surrounding the issues remained unclear at the time. Later reports suggested the relationship ultimately came to an end shortly afterward.
The end of Davidson and Hewitt’s relationship followed one of the biggest transitions in their personal lives as they became first -time parents together.
While the romance progressed quickly after they confirmed their relationship publicly, reports suggested the pressures of balancing work schedules, parenting responsibilities, and life in the public eye eventually became difficult to manage.
As of now, neither Davidson nor Hewitt publicly addressed the breakup reports directly. However, updates surrounding the split indicated the former couple shifted their attention toward co-parenting after ending their relationship months after welcoming their child together.
