The rare sighting came via a birthday tribute Khloé shared on Instagram, giving followers an unexpected glimpse of her usually low-key brother.
Rob Kardashian made a surprise appearance on social media this week as he joined in celebrating his sister Khloé Kardashian's 42nd birthday.

The 39-year-old showed up in Khloé's Instagram carousel, posted on Wednesday, July 1, which featured highlights from the festivities. In the opening photo, Rob beamed alongside his mother, Kris Jenner, his sisters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé, and his daughter, Dream Kardashian.
For the occasion, he opted for a relaxed look, sporting a black crewneck T-shirt paired with blue-and-white striped basketball shorts.
He rounded out the outfit with a navy baseball cap featuring a logo, black sunglasses, and white sneakers with matching socks, drink in hand as he soaked up the celebration.
Elsewhere in the photo dump, the doting father flashed peace signs while posing cheerfully with Dream. Another snapshot captured the pair sharing a warm embrace.

"How blessed am I? Missing a few but they're always with me ♥️," Khloé wrote in her caption. Touched by the tribute, Rob responded in the comments, writing, "We are so Blessed to have you! We love you so much!!! 🩵🩵🩵💙💙💙🫂."
Followers were equally delighted to spot Rob in the mix. "Love when Rob's in the pics ahhh!! So beautiful love u xoxo," one fan gushed. "Rob! So missed & loved & looks so happy 🥰 So glad he was there to help celebrate Khloe ❤️," another wrote.
"We know it's your day but OH MY GOD LOOK AT ROB!! 😍😍😍👏👏👏," a third commenter swooned, while a fourth chimed in, "Anyone else happy to see Rob looking great with his beautiful daughter, raise their hands 🙋♀️🙋♀️."

Compared to his famous sisters, Rob has long kept a much lower profile. Much of his decision to step back from public life stemmed from a longtime struggle with body image.
Still, last October, the entrepreneur made his first appearance on "The Kardashians" during the show's season seven premiere, marking his return to television after nine years away from the spotlight.
Rob had largely avoided TV following his split from Blac Chyna, with whom he shares Dream. A source told People at the time that Rob had reached a "point in his life [where] he just doesn't care as much what anyone thinks."
The insider explained that he had "really struggled with body issues and self-confidence for years," but noted that "negative comments don't bother him anymore."
"He's in a better place and way more comfortable with who he is," the source added.
The insider also offered insight into how visible Rob would be throughout the season, sharing, "Rob loves hanging out with his family. His scenes so far on the show are light and unscripted. There is no pressure on him. And he enjoys it."
According to the source, Rob "seems open to appear on the show more often" following his return. Earlier in 2025, he had opened up about his decision to step away from the spotlight during an episode of Khloé's podcast, "Khloe in Wonderland."
"There's definitely nothing wrong between any of us," Rob said, referring to his bond with Khloé, older sisters Kim and Kourtney, younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and his mother, Kris Jenner.

"I'm not comfortable in my skin, so why would I wanna go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in? That's not what I wanna do," he continued, admitting he hadn't felt "comfortable" with himself "for years."
"And I choose my own happiness and peace [over] just filming for somebody who doesn't do anything for me in my personal life," he added. Even so, Rob made clear he wasn't ruling out a bigger return to television down the line.
"I mean, I love filming if it's positive and if it's natural and I'm feeling good about myself. Then, of course," he said.
"I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me. Obviously, I have nothing against it. The reason I don't is because I'm a homebody and I just choose, like I said, my peace and happiness."
