Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Get Along Better ‘When They’re Not Married’

The former couple, who were married for just over two years, recently reunited at a screening for the actress's latest blockbuster. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's relationship is said to be in a much better place now that they're no longer married. The pair recently reunited at the New York screening of the musical drama, "Kiss of the Spider Woman."

Lopez stars as the film's leading character, while Affleck serves as its executive producer. The event, which took place on Monday evening, October 6, marked the former couple's first red carpet appearance together since their divorce was finalized in January.

The two seemed to be in particularly good spirits in each other's presence, beaming side by side as they posed for photos. "They like each other so much more when they're not married to each other," a source close to Lopez told Page Six.

"They each have roles to play with each other — she's the glamorous, gorgeous diva superstar on a pedestal, he's the roguish cad who keeps her at a distance to maintain sexual tension," the source continued.

Lopez and Affleck first started dating in 2002, and got engaged later that year. They were supposed to wed in 2003, but they ended up calling it off. In 2021, they rekindled their romance, eventually marrying in 2022. Lopez then filed for divorce in August 2024.
