Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Make First Red Carpet Appearance Since Divorce

The "Maid in Manhattan" actress is currently promoting her latest movie, "Kiss of the Spider Woman." Her ex-husband served as the film's executive producer.

Jennifer Lopez attended the New York screening of her new musical drama, "Kiss of the Spider Woman," on Monday evening, September 6. The actress was joined by her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, in what marked the pair's first red carpet appearance together since their divorce.

Lopez looked stunning in a daring, avant-garde gown. The sheer floor-length dress featured a delicate nude base adorned with dark floral embroidery. Over it, a bold sculptural black frame curved around her shoulders and waist, creating an hourglass silhouette that accentuated her figure.

The singer kept her accessories minimal, wearing diamond drop earrings and a statement ring, letting the dress take center stage. Her hair was styled in a chic updo with soft face-framing tendrils, while her look was tied together with soft glam makeup.

Beside her, Affleck looked sharp in a navy blue suit paired with a crisp white button-up shirt and polished black dress shoes. The "Gone Girl" star beamed alongside Lopez as the pair posed for photos alongside director Bill Condon and Lopez's co-star Tinatiuh.

Ahead of the screening, Affleck praised Lopez's work ethic as he addressed the audience. "She worked enormously hard. You get to see like all of her many gifts, she's somebody that grew up watching, you know, classic musicals," Affleck said, adding that she "really does it all in this movie!"

The pair first met in 2002 and got engaged later that year, but called it quits in 2003. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and married in 2022. Two years later, in 2024, Lopez filed for divorce, which was finalized in January of this year.
