The podcaster has opened up about her divorce from Jelly Roll, revealing they settled the split in weeks and are still expecting a baby together.
Bunnie Xo has broken her silence following the news of her divorce from Jelly Roll. The media personality addressed the split in a new episode of her "Dumb Blonde" podcast, which premiered Thursday, June 18.

Despite the end of their marriage, Bunnie revealed that she and Jelly are still on track to welcome a child together. Opening the episode, she told listeners they needed "to understand why this is happening, where this is coming from, and what we're doing moving forward."
"We're literally settling our divorce in like... We've done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?" she said, before adding, "We're still having a baby together."

"So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered," Bunnie shared. "We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
Bunnie and Jelly first met in 2015, when Jelly was struggling financially and Bunnie was working as a sex worker. The two started out as friends before their bond grew into a romance the following year.
They got engaged in 2016 and secretly tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony that same evening — without telling friends or family.

Throughout their relationship, the pair were consistently open with their audience, speaking candidly about both the highs and the hardships — including Jelly's 2018 affair, which led to a brief separation.
It comes as little surprise, then, that Bunnie is just as candid about their split. "I think everybody's so hung up on our past and what we built together, which I mean, we did a [expletive] great job," she said.
"It'll never be replicated again, but our future is so much more important. And being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably, I think, the biggest gift that we could have given each other."

Bunnie also opened up about the toll their fertility journey took on her, revealing that during their marriage they had tried to conceive several times via IVF and lost four embryos.
"It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically," she shared, adding that they had both been on hormones in an effort to have a child together. "In a way, I kind of think J and I are trauma-bonded."

Bunnie, real name Alisa DeFord, wrote in her memoir "Stripped Down," published earlier this year, that she and Jelly, real name Jason DeFord, had found a surrogate, with Bunnie planning to begin her IVF stims soon.
Then, on Mother's Day, the couple had an argument during which she told Jelly, "Well, then file the [expletive] divorce papers." Bunnie packed a bag and left, and the two didn't speak for several weeks afterward.

"He was so mad and we were so emotional that he ended up doing exactly what I told him to do and filing the divorce papers," she recalled — before making clear the decision was not mutual.
"Was I blindsided?" Bunnie asked. "It was not mutual. Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely."
She also expressed her belief that they should have sought therapy first to try to work things out, though Jelly did not agree.
While it took her some time to come to terms with it, the former couple is now, in her words, "ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce."
