Jesse Williams Expecting First Baby With Alejandra Onieva After Quietly Marrying Actress

The Hollywood star is preparing to become a father again, this time with actress Alejandra Onieva. The baby news comes shortly after the couple reportedly kept another major milestone out of the spotlight.

Jesse Williams is already a father of two, but his growing family is now making headlines for another reason. Actress Alejandra Onieva recently confirmed her pregnancy in a series of photos that offered a quiet glimpse at the couple's next step.

Alejandra Onieva Revealed Her Pregnancy on Instagram

The "Grey's Anatomy" star, 44, is expecting his third child and his first with Onieva, 33. The actress confirmed the news last week by sharing several images on Instagram that showed her baby bump.

In one photo, Onieva wore white striped pants and a cropped white sweater that opened at the top of her stomach. She turned her head to the side while placing her bump prominently in view.

Another video showed the actress posing on a beach in a red minidress while accentuating her bump. The couple was also photographed together in Los Angeles on May 22, 2026.

Onieva wore cobalt blue jeans with a matching jacket and a cropped tank top that hit at the top of her stomach. Williams walked beside her in blue jeans and a gray hoodie. Representatives for Williams and Onieva did not respond to a request for comment.

The Couple Reportedly Married Before the Baby News

The pregnancy reveal came shortly after TMZ reported that Williams and Onieva had quietly married. According to the outlet, sources with direct knowledge said the couple tied the knot several months ago in a low-key ceremony that stayed out of the public eye.

Their romance reportedly began in 2025 after they met while filming "Hotel Costiera" on Italy's Amalfi Coast. Williams plays a former Marine in the series, while Onieva stars opposite him.

By early fall 2025, the two had started appearing together publicly. They were seen getting close in Madrid, later attended a Rome premiere hand in hand, and also appeared at the San Sebastian Film Festival.

Williams later spoke about filming "Hotel Costiera" in Italy and the challenge of balancing work abroad with parenting from another time zone.

Williams Has Spoken Candidly About Fatherhood

Williams is already dad to daughter Sadie, 11, and son Maceo, 10, whom he shares with ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee. In September, he told PEOPLE that filming in Italy made it difficult to stay connected with his children back home because of the time difference.

Between acting, producing, reviewing dailies, and giving notes, he said sleep became especially difficult. He recalled waking up at 3 a.m. to call his children because he was nine hours ahead of them.

Years earlier, after Sadie's birth, Williams described first-time fatherhood as difficult to summarize but deeply meaningful. "It's wonderful — a new discovery every day," he said at the time.

Williams and Drake-Lee filed for divorce in 2017. After their split, Williams sought joint legal and physical custody of their children, while Drake-Lee later requested sole custody. Their custody dispute was settled in 2018, giving them 50/50 joint legal custody.

The former couple returned to court after Williams temporarily moved to New York City in 2022 for his Broadway role in "Take Me Out." Since then, they have continued to address custody matters in court. Now, Williams is preparing for another chapter in fatherhood as he and Onieva await their first baby together.
