Sarah Michelle Gellar Talks 23 Years with Husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

She changed the music industry with her voice — now she's changing the business world with her name. What started as a bold beauty launch has quietly turned Rihanna into one of the most powerful women in the global luxury market.
She may be best known for chart-topping hits and unforgettable red carpet looks, but behind the fame, Rihanna has quietly built a business empire worth an estimated 1 billion dollars — and she did it with focus, strategy, and a sharp eye for opportunity.
From beauty counters to boardrooms, the singer-turned-mogul has done what few celebrities ever manage: turn fame into long-term financial firepower.
In 2017, Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty with Kendo Brands, the beauty incubator owned by luxury powerhouse LVMH. She and LVMH each own half of the brand, and what began as a bold move into cosmetics has turned into one of the most successful celebrity-led beauty ventures to date.
While other celebrity brands have fizzled, Fenty continues to drive impressive results. In 2024 alone, it reportedly pulled in 450 million dollars in net sales.
Now, sources say LVMH is considering selling its stake in the brand, which could be valued between 1 billion and 2 billion dollars. Rihanna, who still owns her 50 percent share, would retain her role at the top of a global powerhouse.
Rihanna's ambitions didn't stop at makeup. In 2018, the same year Fenty Beauty helped make her a billionaire, she launched Savage X Fenty, a lingerie line praised for inclusivity and edge.
She currently holds a 28 percent stake in the company, according to Forbes. Though she has stepped down as CEO, she remains executive chair, guiding the brand’s direction while focusing on her growing influence in beauty.
Before her business ventures ever made headlines, Rihanna was a global phenomenon in music. Born in Barbados, she burst onto the scene in the early 2000s with hits like "Pon de Replay" and "Umbrella," the latter catapulting her to international stardom. Over the years, her musical style evolved — from pop to R&B to dancehall — with every reinvention keeping fans and critics hooked.
She's won nine Grammy Awards, sold over 250 million records worldwide, and built a loyal fanbase that continues to anticipate her long-awaited return to music.
Despite her fame, Rihanna has kept much of her personal life private. In recent years, she's embraced motherhood with the birth of her three children with rapper A$AP Rocky. While she occasionally shares glimpses of family life, she's remained largely focused on her businesses and philanthropic efforts through the Clara Lionel Foundation.
Balancing her roles as an entrepreneur, artist, and mother, Rihanna has crafted a life that defies convention — and continues to expand her legacy on her own terms.

Rihanna's estimated 1 billion dollar net worth is no accident. Though her music career laid the foundation, it's her business decisions and ownership in high-growth companies that have turned her into a modern mogul.
