A tender moment between the Prince and Princess of Wales was recently spotlighted when their photographer shared a closer view of the couple holding hands at a state banquet.

A rare glimpse of the Prince and Princess of Wales sharing a tender moment at a recent state banquet has been highlighted by the photographer who captured it.

On September 30, 2025, Matt Porteous shared a zoomed-in version of the intimate snapshot that previously appeared on Prince William and Princess Kate's Instagram Stories, showing the royal couple holding hands.

"One frame. Pure elegance, forever held in time," Porteous captioned the post on his Instagram grid.

The image was taken on the day of the state banquet at Windsor Castle on September 17, 2025, held to honor President Donald Trump's official visit to the United Kingdom alongside his wife, First Lady Melania Trump and the rest of the US delegation.

Porteous has worked with Prince William and Princess Kate for years, photographing the couple for major occasions such as family Christmas cards featuring their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — as well as other private celebrations and birthdays.
