Nina Dobrev Breaks Silence on Zac Efron Dating Rumors

Nina Dobrev is setting the record straight. The actress, who recently ended a five-year relationship with her former fiancé, Shaun White, sparked dating rumors in September when she was seen on a seaside vacation in Italy with Zac Efron and friends.

On Wednesday, October 1, TMZ caught up with her at the Los Angeles International Airport. When asked if there was anything going on between her and Efron, Dobrev simply chuckled and replied, "No."

Driving her point home, when asked if they were just friends, she responded, "Yeah." The rumors emerged shortly after news broke that Dobrev and White had split. The former couple began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in October 2024.

Multiple sources confirmed the breakup around early September. One insider told the Daily Mail that the pair grew apart due to shifting priorities. "Shaun is retired and has had his last Olympics, he was very ready for marriage and kids and all that comes from that," the insider explained.

"As much as they had the same ideals and wanted to enjoy the same ride, they naturally couldn't come together on a common goal and that was the strain on their relationship," the source said.
