The TV personality has opened up about the end of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," reflecting on his bond with the host and the duet that became the best moment of his life.
Lawrence Zarian has opened up about the impending finale of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," where the former actor and fashion expert has been a frequent guest and beloved fixture.

"It is so bittersweet because everybody loves her," he told Us Weekly over the weekend. "It is the best job in the world, the best family in the world. Alex Duda, our executive producer, and Kareen Gunning run a beautiful ship, and it has been an honor to be a part of their family."
"But then Kelly and I, we fell in love with each other," he continued. "We created this wonderful relationship. I call her Kelly Clarkson Zarian. And I got to sing a duet with Kelly Clarkson!"

Zarian's remarks come after Clarkson announced back in February that her Emmy-winning talk show was coming to an end following its seventh season. He revealed that from "day one" his sights were set on one day sharing the stage with the "Stronger" hitmaker.
"From day one I've said, 'Let's sing.' And then I started pushing it a little bit, and again and again," he explained. "What started as a gag became a joke, and then reality set in. And then she said, 'Sure.' I said, 'Who do we talk to?'"

Zarian recalled that Clarkson responded with a laugh, saying, "It's my show" — a moment he described as a kind of silent permission to "let go." He admitted he didn't think it would actually happen until Clarkson came to him with a concrete plan.
"She came up to me and said, 'We have two weeks. We've got a date on the boards.' I got a voice coach. I've never sung in my life. I studied for two weeks," he said, adding that he had "never been more committed to anything" in his life.

The TV personality revealed that what aired on the show just under two weeks ago was the very first time the two had ever sung together. "There's a shot of Kelly looking at me that really touches my heart so deeply," he shared.
"Because they say a picture really is worth a thousand words. And the way she loves me? The fact that she gave me that moment. And it's funny, people have been really supportive. [...] And then other people have had their judgements," he continued.
But for Zarian, none of that noise mattered. "It wasn't about singing with Kelly. It was about singing next to Kelly. It wasn't about my voice. It was about that moment. The best moment of my life, truly," he said.
As for what's next for Clarkson once she steps away from daytime TV, Zarian has a clear sense of where her priorities will lie.
"She's going to be a mom," he said. "She's going to be a mom and take care of her kids. Unfortunately, the father of those kids passed and I think life travels so fast. When you're Kelly Clarkson, you don't get to slow down. She's choosing her kids."
Clarkson shares daughter Rose and son Remy — both of whom have appeared on the show over the years — with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died in August 2025 following a private three-year battle with cancer. He was 48.
