The Carter family shares several activities together. Horseback riding is one of their shared interests, while Carter also spends time playing golf with his son, Odin.

He has noted that this activity helped the family cope following the death of his sister, Bobbie Jean Carter, in December 2023.

Each Child’s Personality

Carter has spoken about the differences between his children, explaining that each has their own personality and needs.

Saoirse, for example, has shown an interest in singing, following in her father’s footsteps. However, she is not always interested in hearing him perform solo. Despite that, the two do occasionally sing together, often using a karaoke machine the family has at home.

Her name also carries personal significance. It was chosen as a tribute following a miscarriage Lauren experienced after Odin’s birth.

A Challenging Start

The couple’s youngest child, Pearl, faced early challenges after her birth. She was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit, marking a difficult moment for the family.

Despite this, Carter has described parenthood as a rewarding experience overall. "I think it's great. It's a challenge and ... I absolutely love it," he said.
