‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Alum Carly Waddell Ends Engagement

The reality star, who was previously married, recently took to social media to announce that she and her former fiancé had broken off their engagement after nearly three years of dating.

Carly Waddell and Todd Allen Tressler will no longer be saying "I do." Waddell announced on Wednesday, October 1, that she and Tressler had ended their engagement. The "Bachelor in Paradise" alum shared the news in a candid Instagram video addressed to her fans.

"Okay. Real talk here. I'm going to make the post I've been wanting to make because, honestly, I just wasn't ready to make it," she began. She noted that she was no longer wearing her engagement ring and acknowledged that her followers had noticed.

She then said, "I did break off my engagement about a month ago," adding that she and her two kids were now living in a new city. Waddell had announced her engagement to Tressler in October 2024.

The former couple had gone public with their relationship in March 2024, revealing that they had begun dating a year earlier. "It's not a decision that I personally made overnight," Waddell said of ending their relationship.

"It was really bad timing because the kids had just started school and sports and all the things. You know what? It just is what it is," she continued. Waddell added that she feels "very at peace" with the decision and that her children were "loving life" at their new place.

The pair, who met on "Bachelor in Paradise" in 2016, announced their separation in December 2020 after three years of marriage. They share daughter Isabella, 6, and son Charles, 5, while Bass is also dad to three older sons from a previous marriage.
