Gigi Hadid’s Post-Pregnancy Skincare Routine, Step by Step
November 02, 2025

Balancing motherhood, modeling, and eczema flare-ups, her approach to beauty is less about perfection and more about intention and a touch of fun.
In December 2024, Nara Smith gave viewers an intimate look into her skincare and makeup ritual during an episode of Vogue's "Beauty Secrets." From pharmacy staples to her go-to homemade lip scrub, the model kept things raw, real, and refreshingly simple.

Smith opened the video with a stripped-back approach — just a splash of water followed by three drops of True Botanicals oil, a product she's sworn by since her first pregnancy.

With her hair pulled back, she continued with a long-trusted German moisturizer, Dexeryl, decanted into a travel jar for convenience. Having dealt with eczema for years — especially on her palms and during periods of stress — hydration remained central to her routine.

She followed up with an eye cream, admitting that under-eye bags ran in the family. "My mom has really bad eye bags too," she shared, "so I've just embraced it at this point."
Sunscreen, although occasionally forgotten, also made an appearance. Smith recalled making a homemade version while on vacation for her husband, who burns easily. "He didn't get a sunburn that day, so I guess it works," she revealed.

What she did make that day, however, was her homemade lip scrub — a beauty tradition passed down from her mother. "She used to make all these different concoctions growing up," Smith explained, as she walked viewers through the ingredients — brown sugar, coconut oil, honey, and peppermint essential oil.

She eyeballed the measurements, combining each with a relaxed ease. "The coconut oil's gonna melt, so just be prepared," she warned. After application, she noted, "My lips are so soft after it." Post-scrub, she layered on Laneige's peppermint lip mask and declared that her skincare was done.

The makeup segment began with a Mac primer, followed by a lightweight product she rubbed in by hand for a more seamless blend. Dewy and hydrating textures were her preference; matte products didn't make the cut.

She mixed two shades of Hourglass concealer, letting them sit for coverage before blending. Brows were brushed up with intention. "When I was 14 and got scouted by my modeling agency, I had the thinnest brows," Smith recalled.

Since then, her approach had evolved — wispy, slightly darkened, and far from blocky. Blush then took center stage, both cream and powder layered on with fingers.

Her fondness for blush bordered on obsession. "I definitely have blush blindness," she joked. Bronzer from Hourglass substituted as eyeshadow, staying true to her simple makeup ethos. "I'm not good with eyeshadow, okay? That's something I cannot do," Smith admitted.

Mascara came next, though lash curlers were off-limits due to a past mishap. "All my lashes were in the lash curler," she revealed, still clearly horrified. Instead, she turned to Ardell individual lashes — numbers 12 and 10 — attached with black duo glue for a subtle lift.

For lips, she began with a wipe-off of balm, then used Mac's Chestnut liner, a berry-toned stain, and finished with a swipe of Lipglass. The final step? A spritz of Maison Margiela's Beach Walk fragrance.
Smith's routine wasn't just about beauty—it was a reflection of her reality. From dealing with scalp eczema to balancing motherhood, she kept the tone grounded and self-aware. Through it all, her beauty routine—like her cooking—was rooted in care, intention, and a bit of fun.
