Lori Loughlin Shares Warm Moment with James Tupper Just Before Separation Announcement
October 03, 2025
The actress and the fashion designer, who share two daughters, are said to be living apart. Prior to news of their separation emerging, the "Full House" alum was spotted embracing another man.
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have separated after nearly 28 years of marriage. The split comes after the couple listed their Hidden Hills mansion, which they purchased in August 2020, this past February.

Loughlin's representative, Elizabeth Much, confirmed their separation in a statement to PEOPLE. "They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage. There are no legal proceedings at this time," Much said.
A night before their split made headlines, Loughlin had been spotted out for dinner with "Emma Fielding Mysteries" alum James Tupper. The pair were photographed deep in conversation outside The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood.
At one point, they were seen leaning in for a warm embrace as they waited for their vehicles at the valet. However, while the outing sparked dating rumors, a representative for Loughlin quickly dispelled the speculation.
"Lori and James have worked together and are old friends," the representative told Page Six. Indeed, the pair co-starred in the 2023 comedy-drama "Fall into Winter" and "A Christmas Blessing," released that same year.
Loughlin, who tied the knot with Giannulli in 1997, shares two daughters with the designer: Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade Giannulli. Back in 2020, the couple was embroiled in a college admissions scandal involving their children.
They were accused of paying $500,000 for their daughters to be admitted into the University of Southern California — charges to which they eventually pleaded guilty. Loughlin was sentenced to two months in federal prison, while her husband served five months.
