August 12, 2022
Flyysoulja is a musician part of the hip hop duo "Island Boys," which he formed with his twin brother Kodiyakredd. Flyysoulja's real name is Alex Venegas, and his brother is Franky Venegas.
Flyysoulja has a distinct look, from his diamond teeth to numerous tattoos which cover most of his body and unique dreadlocks that he dyes in different colors.
The musician has said he wants to be a positive role model; let's take a closer look at the life of "Island Boys" member Flyysoulja.
HOW DID FLYYSOULJA BECOME FAMOUS?
Flyysoulja became well-known in a short time thanks to the internet. Alex and his brother Franky started shooting videos of themselves singing and shared them on TikTok.
One of the brothers' videos they recorded in a swimming pool in October 2021 became an instant hit. The two have become increasingly popular after their video went viral.
Thanks to their popularity, in December 2021, they were able to release an official version of their hit song "Island Boy" and even made a music video for it. Their bizarre music video also divided viewers, some liking it while others mocked it.
However, their musical talent isn't the only thing Flyysoulja and his brother became famous for. The due also became known for their feuds with other TikTokers and even celebrities -- especially their controversies with brothers Jake and Logan Paul.
In mid-December 2021, Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd were guests on YouTuber Logan Paul's podcast "Impaulsive."
During the interview, the pair clashed with the co-host George Janko after he suggested they invest their earnings if they failed in their musicians' careers. The brothers said they didn't need financial advice and were probably making more money than him before walking out.
"The Island Boys" also feuded with TikToker Bryce Hall after he replied to a comment under Flyysoulja's video about Jake Paul. The brothers responded by posting a video of them discussing their purported juvenile record and laughing at Bryce.
Bryce joined them during an interview with YouTuber Daniel Keem and exchanged insults and jibes with Bryce before ending the video call. Some celebrities like Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg have also mocked the Venegas brothers.
The stars were part of a comedy special on the television streaming platform Peacock in December 2021. Snoop referred to the brothers as "two goofballs in a pool" while watching their original TikTok video with Kevin laughing and singing the duo's song. Flyysoulja reacted by sharing the video on TikTok lipsyncing to Kevin's rendition of "Island Boys."
FLYYSOULJA'S PERSONAL LIFE
Flyysoulja and his brother were raised by a single mother after their father's death. The twins spent some time in jail as teens for "burglaries, robberies, stolen cars." During their time in prison, they decided to try rapping.
Flyysoulja is already a father. He has a baby daughter he once showed on his TikTok and also revealed the alleged mother of his baby.
FLYYSOULJA WANTS TO BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL
When Flyysoulja found out that his friend was arrested as a suspect in the murder of a little girl, he reached out to her family to offer his help. He said he was shaken to know the news, mainly because he is also a father of a little daughter.

Flyysoulja also posted a video where he said he asks for no gun violence. He further said he wants to be a positive role model, which is why he refused to help his friend. He said:
"I just want to send my condolences to the family that this tragedy has happened...it's very sad. We gotta stop the gun violence. We've got to make sure that, you know, we protect the youth out here and stop the gang violence. It's not worth it."
He further said he would promote to stop everybody thinking that it's cool to "influence the bad and flip it to good" and turn the negativity into positivity.
According to the duo's manager Dovi Bezner, Flyysoulja and his brother "had no idea any of this was going on" and knew their friend as a "good person." Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd's manager also said they knew he had a criminal record but had no idea that he was violent.
