One of the brothers' videos they recorded in a swimming pool in October 2021 became an instant hit. The two have become increasingly popular after their video went viral.

Thanks to their popularity, in December 2021, they were able to release an official version of their hit song "Island Boy" and even made a music video for it. Their bizarre music video also divided viewers, some liking it while others mocked it.

However, their musical talent isn't the only thing Flyysoulja and his brother became famous for. The due also became known for their feuds with other TikTokers and even celebrities -- especially their controversies with brothers Jake and Logan Paul.

In mid-December 2021, Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd were guests on YouTuber Logan Paul's podcast "Impaulsive."

During the interview, the pair clashed with the co-host George Janko after he suggested they invest their earnings if they failed in their musicians' careers. The brothers said they didn't need financial advice and were probably making more money than him before walking out.

"The Island Boys" also feuded with TikToker Bryce Hall after he replied to a comment under Flyysoulja's video about Jake Paul. The brothers responded by posting a video of them discussing their purported juvenile record and laughing at Bryce.

Bryce joined them during an interview with YouTuber Daniel Keem and exchanged insults and jibes with Bryce before ending the video call. Some celebrities like Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg have also mocked the Venegas brothers.

The stars were part of a comedy special on the television streaming platform Peacock in December 2021. Snoop referred to the brothers as "two goofballs in a pool" while watching their original TikTok video with Kevin laughing and singing the duo's song. Flyysoulja reacted by sharing the video on TikTok lipsyncing to Kevin's rendition of "Island Boys."
