"One frame. Pure elegance, forever held in time," Porteous captioned the post on his Instagram grid.
The image was taken on the day of the state banquet at Windsor Castle on September 17, 2025, held to honor President Donald Trump's official visit to the United Kingdom alongside his wife, First Lady Melania Trump and the rest of the US delegation.
The closer crop offers more detail than the version shared by the couple themselves on their Instagram Stories during the event. Captured from behind and taken outdoors, the picture showcased a rare public display of affection between the royals, both 43.
Porteous has worked with Prince William and Princess Kate for years, photographing the couple for major occasions such as family Christmas cards featuring their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — as well as other private celebrations and birthdays.
