The 19-year-old social media personality recently launched her namesake apparel brand, and netizens couldn't help but point out the striking similarities between her logo and the Tru Kolors emblem.
Kai Trump has come under fire after launching her new clothing line. The young influencer took to Instagram on Thursday, September 25, to debut the apparel — available on her online shop — and has been promoting it since.
Her collection consists of women's and unisex pullover sweatshirts in black, navy, and white. Each pullover features her initials "T" and "K" in a stylized, interlocking design, with the "T" placed above and overlapping the "K."
Fans were quick to notice that the logo closely resemblance Travis Kelce's Tru Kolors emblem, and began calling it out. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end launched his clothing brand in collaboration with American Eagle in 2019.
"This logo and brand is basically a rip off Travis Kelce's Tru Kolor clothing line @killatrav @trukolorsbrand 🙄🤦🏻," one person wrote of Kai’s insignia.
"Yikes! Did Kai Trump 'copy' the logo of the clothing giant American Eagle's collaboration with Travis Kelce, 'Tru Kolors'? Travis' T is longer, but it looks a LOT like Kai's," another observed.
"Kai Trump logo is Temu version of Travis Kelce's American Eagle Tru Kolor line- Logo is very similar- only difference is the line of her T is shorter [sic]," a third wrote. "Nice stole Travis Kelce's logo lol [sic]," someone else added.
Kai's pullovers are retailing for $130. "This collection is something I've dreamed about for a long time, and I'm so grateful it's finally here," she wrote on her website. "Launching this line has been such an exciting project."
She continued, "From the quality of the fabric to the details in the designs, I wanted to create a piece that isn't just merch but a staple you can wear anywhere. There are Clean pieces you can mix, match, and make your own. I can't wait to see how you style them!"
