In a new interview with "Harper's Bazaar UK" for its November issue, the 56-year-old actress reflected on the false assumptions that she chose not to have children because she was too focused on her career.
Aniston explained that the public had little understanding of the challenges she faced privately. She noted that her health journey was never something she chose to share publicly. The "Friends" star said the ongoing speculation about her being "selfish" or "career-driven" had taken a toll.

She added that it was difficult not to be affected by repeated claims about her personal choices. Aniston said that, with time, she has learned to ignore much of the media noise surrounding her private life.
She acknowledged that while she sometimes feels compelled to correct falsehoods, she ultimately takes comfort in knowing that her family and friends understand her truth. The actress has previously spoken about her fertility struggles.

In 2022, she revealed having undergone unsuccessful rounds of IVF and wished she had frozen her eggs earlier in life. She described that period as emotionally taxing, recalling how she tried everything from medical treatments to alternative remedies in hopes of becoming pregnant.
Aniston said that while she once longed for motherhood, she has since accepted that chapter of her life has passed and holds no regrets about her journey.
