Rapper Coi Leray has been the hottest breakthrough in the genre in the last years, with over 290 million views on YouTube since she dropped her first single in 2021.

Curiosity about the stylish, unconventional, and irreverent beauty is rising, including what inspires her music and romantic life. Pressa is a rapper, like some of her other love interests in the past.

Born on May 11, 1997, in Boston, Coy Leray was raised in New Jersey. She is the daughter of rapper, actor, and music producer Ray Benzino and has five brothers.

Leray started making music when she was just fourteen and released her debut single in 2018. She started working with other artists and toured with rapper Trippie Redd in 2019

Pressa admitted that he had learned a lot from Leray, especially about cultivating his online presence, and creating and posting content to promote his brand and keep fans engaged.

In 2020, Leray dropped her first extended play, "Now or Never," and in 2021, her single "No More Parties" hit the Billboard Hot 100 and went all the way up to #26.

Leray is beautiful, stylish, challenging, and irreverent as her music. The lovely rapper is known to have dated several rappers, but the man in her life is Canadian rapper, Pressa, whose USA career is now taking off.

Who is Rapper Pressa?

Pressa was born in Toronto on May 10, 1996, as Quinton Armani Gardner. His birthday is one day before Leray's, and he is one year older than the New Jersey rapper.

When Pressa was six months old, his father was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 15 years in jail. Even though he has been in prison for several crimes ever since Pressa shared that his father raised him over the phone.

Pressa's father is very supportive of his music, and the rapper revealed that his Jamaican origins had hugely influenced his music. Pressa admits that he went through a wild phase as a teenager, leaving him with a criminal record.

When he started making music at 18, it turned his life around. "Novacane," his first hit single caught fellow rapper Drake's attention, and he invited Pressa to open for him on his Boy Meets World Tour. His music brought him to the USA and led him straight into Coi Leray's arms.

Coi Leray and Pressa's relationship

Even though Pressa revealed he first met Leray in a studio, he says she didn't notice him. The relationship only started when he reached out to the rapper about working with him on his song "Attachments." He said:

"I thought she looked like me. I thought she was like me. We have the same birthday, basically. May 10th and 11th."

The title of the song proved to be prophetic. Then the two rappers appeared on a TikTok clip together, and the cat was out of the bag. Rumors started about Press and Leray dating, which she confirmed by posting a snap of the two on Instagram, making it official.

Pressa, a rap star in Canada and Europe, is, as yet, less well known in the USA. He is famous for being Coi Leray's boyfriend, but that doesn't phase Pressa. He is proud of Leray and a passionate advocate of the controversial rapper.

He is the first to defend her when her sometimes outrageous stage performances come under fire. Pressa is the first to point out that people overlook Leray's achievements and latch on to the scandal.

Pressa admitted that he had learned a lot from Leray, especially about cultivating his online presence and creating and posting content to promote his brand and keep fans engaged.

Pressa describes their relationship as "sweet" and conflict-free even after they had gone their separate ways. After about a year together, Coi Leray declared herself single during an interview in April 2022 and added:

"We’re still great friends. As a new artist, I feel like it’s selfish of me to paint you to what I would want you to be, knowing you can’t right now.”

Pressa also opened up about their breakup during a sitdown with All Urban Central. Stating that one can still love someone after the romantic part of their relationship ran its course, he elaborated:

"When you are a good person, you probably just love who the person is, and you don't want to [expletive] that up. But sometimes it's not working anymore."

Coi Leray's Previous Relationships

Leray seems to have a weakness for rappers, and Pressa became the third man in her life with a musical background. She was linked to rapper Blueface in December 2020 when the two were spotted having lunch in Hollywood.

Later, Leray shared a video in which she and Blueface looked very intimate, and in January 2021, the two kissed openly on Instagram. After the breakup, Blueface publically stated that Pressa looked feminine.

Before that, Leary had a relationship with rapper Trippie Redd and accompanied him on his Life was a Trip Tour in 2019. However, the romance ended sourly, and Redd wrote a song about his relationship with Leray titled "Leray." He sang:

"It was love at first sight and misery after two months."

Leray was upset by Redd's use of their relationship in such a public manner and accused the rapper of using her as "clickbait." She expressed surprise that a man of his stature would lower himself to that kind of reaction. Coi Leray seems to be a hard woman to get over.
