As millions prepare to watch Bad Bunny light up the 2026 Super Bowl halftime stage, a different kind of presence may be in the crowd: ICE agents tracking undocumented attendees.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are expected to be stationed at the 2026 Super Bowl, including its highly anticipated halftime show, according to Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser associated with former President Donald Trump.
Lewandowski, who played key roles in Trump's 2016 and 2024 campaigns and now works with the Department of Homeland Security, shared the news shortly after Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny was confirmed as the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer.
On the October 1, 2025 episode of "The Benny Show" podcast, host Benny Johnson asked Lewandowski directly, "ICE will have enforcement at the Super Bowl for the Bad Bunny halftime show?"
"There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you," Lewandowski said.
He added, "So know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be."
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, professionally known as Bad Bunny, was officially announced as next year's halftime performer on Sunday, Sept. 28. The 31-year-old musician will take the stage at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8, 2026, promising a show that fans across the world are eagerly awaiting.
