Meghan Markle's Estranged Father Reportedly 'Trapped' in Philippines Apartment After Earthquake
Meghan Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle, was reportedly caught in the aftermath of a deadly earthquake in the Philippines, according to his daughter, Samantha.

Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, was reportedly trapped on the 19th floor of his apartment in the Philippines following a powerful earthquake.

His daughter, Samantha Markle, wrote on X that the 81-year-old remained stuck in the building days after the 6.9-magnitude quake struck. The earthquake has been described as the country's deadliest in more than a decade, leaving at least 69 people dead and more than 200 injured.
Thomas Markle, a retired television lighting director, relocated to the Philippines earlier this year to live with his son, Thomas Jr., 58. His move was described at the time as a fresh start. Rescue teams have continued to search through collapsed homes and damaged buildings, using backhoes and sniffer dogs to locate survivors.
