Judge Derek Hough's prediction that Lauren Jauregui and her professional dance partner Brandon Armstrong would stay in "Dancing With the Stars" proved to be premature. On September 30, 2025, the Fifth Harmony singer and Armstrong were eliminated in a shocking Week 3 exit from Season 34.

On-air, Jauregui told host Alfonso Ribeiro that she was feeling "pissed" about leaving the show. Speaking with TV Insider on the press line immediately after the episode, she clarified her reaction.

"I mean, they asked me how I was feeling in the moment, and that's how I was feeling in the moment," she said.

"I'm feeling just emotional about the whole thing," she continued. "I feel like I had a lot left to give the show, and I just wish that I would have had the opportunity to do that especially because I was working with Brandon. We were going to keep progressing. That was our strategy. It's sad not to be able to do that."

Jauregui had previously shared that she hoped to help Armstrong achieve his first Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The pair had been earning positive feedback from judges throughout one of the competition's most intense seasons, making their early departure all the more surprising. Armstrong expressed similar disappointment, saying, "I wanted [Lauren] to experience what the show has to offer."

Traditionally, eliminated couples are invited back to perform at the season finale, and Jauregui is open to returning. She said she would love the chance to dance again and show viewers "what they missed out on."
