A Brief Interaction at the Chapel

As King Charles entered the chapel, he passed Princess Charlotte and playfully poked her just under the shoulder. She smiled in response. Prince William, who was walking nearby, appeared to watch the moment.

The interaction took place as members of the royal family made their way into the service. King Charles and Queen Camilla entered first, followed by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children.

Prince William and Princess Kate attended with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, walking together as a family as they arrived for the church service.

"He once wanted a daughter," Seward said. "I would think he has a very nice relationship with his granddaughter."

Princess Charlotte is the second child of Prince William and Princess Kate and the only daughter in their family. She is often seen attending major royal events alongside her parents and brothers.

A Return to the Easter Service

The Easter service at Windsor marked a return to the tradition for the Wales family after spending the holiday privately in recent years.

They did not attend the service following Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis. During that period, the family remained out of the public eye and chose to mark the holiday away from the larger royal gathering.

The family later continued to spend Easter privately after Princess Kate shared that she was in remission.

A Public Appearance for the Wales Children

The service also marked a public appearance for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who are typically seen during major royal events and holiday services.

The children have previously joined members of the royal family at Christmas services held at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have attended the Easter service in the past, while Prince Louis joined the tradition at a later stage.

Alongside the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children were among those present at the service. The event serves as one of several key occasions on the royal calendar where family members appear together in a formal setting.

Public appearances at religious services, including Easter and Christmas, remain a consistent part of royal duties.
