Fans Spot 'Something Different' About Taylor Swift's Eyes in New Video
October 09, 2025

Taylor Swift has been spending less time on stage and more time in the kitchen, trading stadium lights for sourdough starters. From homemade jam to Pop-Tarts with pun-filled labels, the pop star’s passion for baking is rising fast.
When she’s not commanding stadiums or collecting awards, Taylor Swift is usually doing something a lot quieter: baking bread, making jam, or cooking up new recipes in her kitchen. Over the years, Swift’s love for baking has turned into a genuine obsession, complete with puns, sourdough starters, and homemade Pop-Tarts.

The earliest peek into her foodie side came in 2013, when Ed Sheeran posted a photo of a jar of jam Swift made for him. The label, written in her handwriting, read: "Yo Ed—I'm really happy 4 you and I'm gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME. —T.” It was a witty callback to Kanye West’s infamous interruption at the 2009 VMAs. Turns out, Swift was preserving more than just fruit.
Even earlier, in 2012, Swift and longtime friend Selena Gomez spent a girls’ night baking cupcakes and strumming ukuleles. Gomez posted photos from the hangout, writing, “Because you need a best friend that sings beautifully... Oh and cupcakes.”
These days, Swift is deep into what she described on the "New Heights" podcast as a return to “all my granny [bleep],” a nod to her growing love for old-fashioned hobbies like baking, sewing, and crafting.
She joked that all her interests “could be categorized as like hobbies you could have had in the 1700s.” That includes her newest obsession: sourdough bread. “I’m just always baking bread and texting my friends, ‘Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback,,” she said, adding that she’s now part of what she calls the “underworld” of sourdough blogs.
She and boyfriend Travis Kelce even set up side-by-side baking stations at home. They experiment with flavors like blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, and Funfetti sourdough for his nieces. And in typical Swift fashion, each loaf comes with a pun-filled label: “Loaf Story,” “Are You Bready for It,” and “Loving Him Was Bread.”
Baking isn’t just a hobby for her; it’s also how she shows love. For Selena Gomez’s birthday in July, Swift gifted her and Benny Blanco a basket of homemade sourdough and a candle, complete with a handwritten note: “It’s a loaf story.”
She’s also become a favorite among NFL staff. Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed Swift once baked Pop-Tarts for the offensive linemen, unknowingly winning them over. “She didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think,” he said.
Between tour stops and recording sessions, Swift seems most at home in the kitchen — kneading dough, testing flavors, and feeding her inner circle. It’s not just about bread or sweets; it’s about staying grounded, being thoughtful, and having a little fun along the way. And if the bread comes with a joke on the label? Even better.
