Bella Hadid’s Stunning Victoria’s Secret Comeback amid Her Battle with Lyme Disease

The supermodel recently turned heads as a Victoria's Secret Angel just one month after being hospitalized, following yet another bout with Lyme disease. She was diagnosed with the illness when she was 16.

Bella Hadid had fans in awe at the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show just weeks after being hospitalized due to a Lyme disease flare-up. The coveted affair took place at Steiner Studios on Wednesday, October 15, in New York City.

For her first look, Bella commanded the runway in a striking scarlet lingerie set, exuding confidence and allure. The ensemble featured a satin push-up bra paired with high-cut lace panties, complete with garter straps and matching thigh-high stockings.

Draped over her shoulders was a flowing, sheer red robe that trailed behind her, adding drama and movement to the bold monochromatic ensemble. Her strappy red heels elongated her legs, while her blonde locks and natural makeup with bronzed tones highlighted her features.

For her second look, the 29-year-old transformed into a radiant vision in silver and white. She wore a shimmering two-piece set adorned with metallic fringe that caught the light as she strutted.

The ensemble was paired with voluminous white angel wings crafted from textured floral details, creating a breathtaking contrast against the silver accents. Her clear heels and diamond earrings added a touch of glamour, while her sleek hair and luminous makeup completed the ethereal yet powerful aesthetic.

Bella's appearance at the Victoria's Secret show follows her recent hospitalization last month. She took to Instagram on September 17 to share an update with her followers after a short hiatus, posting a carousel of photos from her stay at St. George Hospital in Germany.

The images showed Bella hooked up to IVs with tubes taped to her neck in her hospital room. Others showed her enjoying some downtime, playing board games, and admiring the views outside her window. "I'm sorry I always go MIA I love you guys," she captioned the post.

Her sister, Gigi Hadid, left a heartwarming message in the comments, writing, "I love you! I hope feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!" Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, also followed suit, commenting, "❤️Lyme warrior."

Bella was first diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2013, when she was 16, though she revealed in a series of Instagram Stories that her symptoms began when she was 14. She shared infographics in which she highlighted the nearly 30 symptoms she experienced daily.

The symptoms included headaches, brain fog, anxiety, nausea, candida, joint pain and swelling, weight loss and gain, muscle spasms and weakness, difficulty walking, difficulty exercising, light and noise sensitivity, and more.

Bella is not the only one who suffers from the disease in her family as her mother and her brother, Anwar Hadid, also share her diagnosis. Back in 2016, her mother opened up about the difficulty of navigating her flare-ups.

"There are rough days when you sleep 12 hours, you wake up at 11 and you can't get out of bed, with severe joint pain, brain fog, anxiety," Yolanda told People. "There are a lot of symptoms that you can't see from the outside but bring you to your knees on the inside."

She added, "You can never get rested, that's the best way to explain it. [Bella's] been in bed for three days and she's still tired tonight." Years later, in August 2023, Bella shared in an Instagram post that she felt "finally healthy" after "100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, [co-infection] treatment."

"Almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I'm able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, For the first time ever," she wrote alongside another series of photos from a hospital stay.

Although she was hospitalized yet again this past September, the supermodel clearly remains steadfast in her journey, with a strong support system at her side.
