WILL AND JADA FIRST MET ON THE SET OF "FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR"
The couple first met for a brief moment in 1994 when Jada auditioned for a role as Will's girlfriend on the well known 90's sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." However, the part didn't go to Jada because she was short.

WILL AND JADA START DATING
After seeing her on a sitcom in 1995, Will admitted to himself that Jada was the one for him, but he was restricted from making a move because he was still married to Sheree Zampino.
A few months later, Zampino asked for a divorce, and Will finally made his move.
Speaking about it during an appearance on "Red Table Talk," the "Bad Boys" star recalled that he asked Jada if she was "seeing anyone" and when she said no, his response was, "cool, you're seeing me now."

WILL AND JADA TIED THE KNOT IN 1997
Two years into their relationship, they decided to make things official. In November 1997, Will popped the question, and the following day, they found out they were pregnant with Jaden.
By December 1997, the lovebirds walked down the aisle in a private ceremony at a hotel in Baltimore. Details of the ceremony were kept secret until years later when Jada spoke about it on her Facebook Live show. She confessed that it wasn't her dream wedding as she cried while walking down the aisle.

THE COUPLE WELCOME THEIR 1ST CHILD
The couple welcomed their first child and son Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, on July 8, 1998, in a speedy and smooth delivery.
Jada said in an interview she was too anxious to meet him, but she had the help of her mother in the labor room.

About two years later, Will and Jada gave birth to their daughter, Willow Camille Reign Smith, on October 31, 2000. Will confirmed his daughter's conception happened on a drunken trip in Mexico on VH1's "Dear Mama" special.

RUMORS OF JADA AND MARC ANTHONY
By August 2011, rumors surfaced that Jada was having an affair with Marc Anthony, but the couple's representative denied all allegations with a statement that read:
"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

JADA AND WILL DENY OPEN RELATIONSHIP RUMORS
After Marc Anthony's saga, Jada and Will again made headlines when she hinted in an interview that they were in an open relationship. She made comments about her marriage, saying:
"I've always told Will, 'You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay.' Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man."

Many fans mistook her statement for a confession about an open marriage, but Jada was quick to shut down any controversies with a Facebook post where she wrote:
"Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship...this means we have a GROWN one."
STILL GOING STRONG IN AUGUST 2015
Jada's statement did little or nothing to quell the rumors, and this time it was Will who released a statement on his Facebook page, writing:
"In the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness...Jada and I are...NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

In 2017, Jada was on "Watch What Happens Live" and said the craziest rumor she's ever heard about her family is that she and Will are swingers. She playfully denied the rumors, but that was the same year she accompanied August Alsina to the BET Awards.
THE AFFAIR THAT ROCKED THE INTERNET
In June 2020, August Alsina appeared on "The Breakfast Club" to discuss his upcoming album, and that was when he dropped the bomb about dating Jada while she was married. He also revealed that Will Smith had given the affair his "blessing.":
The rapper claimed he sat down with Smith to have a conversation about his and Jada's marriage and the transformation it had to "life partnership."
JADA CONFIRMS HER AFFAIR WITH AUGUST
Days after August's confession, Jada invited herself to the "Red Table Talk" where she confirmed that she and August once dated, but it was when she and Will were separated. According to her:
"From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August...Yes, it was a relationship absolutely."
She, however, denied August's claims that Will gave his permission as they were not even sure they would come back together as at then.

WILL AND JADA NOW
These days, the couple is working towards having a better partnership. A source close to them revealed in a statement that although they have fought and reconciled many times, they love each other at the end of the day.
It is evident Jada and Will are in it forever, and nothing can tear them apart, not even an entanglement.
