EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Bonet was born to an African-American father, Allen, and a Jewish mother, Arlene, on November 16, 1967, in San Francisco, California. Both of her parents were creatives, so it didn't take too long for Bonet to harness her talent.

Unfortunately, her parents divorced when she was young, and only her mother raised her. She went to high school in Van Nuys, California, and afterward majored in acting at the Celluloid Actor's Studio.

After minor roles and appearances on adverts, Bonet got her big break in 1984 on "The Cosby Show" as Denise Huxtable, the rebellious daughter of Cliff and Clair Huxtable. After three years on the show, Bonet briefly exited the show to feature in "A Different World," which shows her character venturing to college.

While Bonet starred in the two sitcoms between 1984 to 1992, her career-defining role came about in 1897 when she made her big-screen debut in the horror movie "Angel Heart" alongside Mickey Rourke. Showing her daring side, Bonet went topless for an interview to promote the film and said she did it for her career.

After her controversial exit from the Cosby franchise shows, Bonet starred in other prominent projects like "Enemy of the State," "Biker Boyz," "High Fidelity," and others.

HER FIRST MARRIAGE TO LENNY KRAVITZ

At the early stages of her career, Bonet found love in the arms of singer Lenny Kravitz. She got engaged to him when she was just 20, and they eloped. Their daughter Zoe Kravitz was born on December 1, 1988.

Unfortunately, after six years of marriage, Bonet and Kravitz called it quits. However, they remained cordial with each other. The actress still describes their time together as an accelerated time of spiritual and intellectual growth.

HER SECOND MARRIAGE TO JASON MOMOA

However, Bonet found her Mr. Right in "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa, and their love story has inspired many. Although the duo has been together for about 15 years, their unique story began years before in 1987 when Momoa set his eyes on Bonet on the screen.

He saw her on "The Cosby Show" and was immediately drawn to her. He settled that Bonet was the woman of his dreams in his heart, but he didn't get to meet her in person until 18 years later.

Bonet and Momoa met at a night club in 2005 after being introduced by a mutual friend. Both of them rocked dreadlocks at the time and connected instantly. They had drinks and hung out that night.

Two years after their first meeting, Bonet and Momoa welcomed their first child, a daughter Lola Iolani. In 2008, their son Nakoa-Wolf was born, and they became a happy family of five.

As a proud mother of three kids, Bonet has her hands full, but there is no other job she would love to do. She often credits motherhood as setting her on the right path as Zoe's birth was a wake-up call.

One of her proudest moments as a mother is passing on her love for nature to her younger children. Nakoa-Wolf has often joined his father to protest against pollution. Bonet also notes that she tries to create a media-free environment to boost her children's imagination.
