Zedd may be famous for energizing global audiences, but offstage he prefers a life rooted in calm and intention. His multi-million-dollar Encino estate reflects that quieter side, offering a retreat centered on balance, wellness, and creativity.

Anton Zaslavski, known worldwide as Zedd, has built a career producing some of the biggest EDM hits of the past decade, including "Stay the Night," "Clarity," "The Middle," and more.

While fans know him for his music, the DJ and producer has also created a peaceful retreat in Encino, California, that reflects his personality, routines, and artistic approach.

For Zedd, balance matters in every part of life, including the place he calls home. He has often shared that symmetry has a powerful effect on his mood.

In an interview with Architectural Digest, he revealed that uneven or poorly balanced design can make him feel uneasy. "Maybe this is a personal tick of mine, but symmetrical designs make me more calm and make me feel better," he explained.

That preference is immediately visible in his Encino estate. The front entrance showcases a western red cedar door framed in travertine, paired with floor-to-ceiling glass panels that create a sense of clean, intentional design.

Inside, the home follows a Japandi-inspired style that mixes Japanese simplicity with Scandinavian warmth. Even though the residence is large, the linear layout gives it a relaxing and intimate atmosphere.

Zedd discovered the property while living in another home designed by architect Jae Omar. Curious about Omar's next project, he asked to take a look. At first, he thought the 17,500-square-foot residence was far larger than he needed.

But after visiting more than once, his feelings changed. He began to appreciate the level of care and detail behind the architecture. As he put it, "I fell in love with how in love with details he was. That's how I approach my music. Every single thing matters."

One part of the home that caught his attention right away was the spa-like wellness wing. Zedd starts his mornings with a cold plunge, followed by weightlifting and cardio, so having a gym, sauna, contrast therapy area, and massage room inside the home felt especially meaningful.

With more than an acre of greenery surrounding the property, he soon realized it was the right environment for both his lifestyle and his work.

After deciding the home was for him, Zedd worked closely with Omar to customize it fully. He chose to furnish most of the space with pieces from RH to maintain a consistent look, especially with the white oak finishes he prefers.

Over the course of a year, Zedd and the RH design team tested and arranged items carefully, making sure each room felt balanced and calm.

The only two items he brought from his previous home were his semigloss Bosendorfer piano, which he felt an instant connection to, and his "irreplaceable" Hastens Vividus bed. Everything else was selected specifically for the new property.

The most challenging part of the project was the basement. Zedd replaced the entire 5,000-plus-square-foot lower level with a high-end recording studio built to his exact standards.

Along with the studio and wellness wing, the property includes a spacious kitchen, a custom poker table with built-in beverage holders, a swimming pool, and a dipping pool. For Zedd, having everything he needs in one place is the truest form of comfort.

As he explained, "I can work out at home, I can work from home, and I sleep at home." He added that he no longer feels the need to travel to unwind. "I don’t see a reason to ever need to go anywhere. I actually don’t want to go on vacation, I just want to be home."

Architectural Digest has a long history of showcasing the most stunning celebrity homes. Another gorgeous California property is Jennifer Garner's beautifully curated space.
