EST Gee Personal Life

The rapper was born George Stone III in Missouri on May 11, 1994, and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, with two of his siblings and their parents.

He attended Saint Xavier High School, where he lettered in track, basketball, and football for all four of his seasons. Soon, he became a rated top linebacker in Kentucky and ranked 158 nationally.

After graduating high school in 2012, Gee became the first in his family to attend college as he received a football scholarship to study at Indiana State University.

He was at the university for two years before he transferred to Sacramento City College, where he spent one year and made another transfer to Stephen F. Austin State University.

When he decided to pursue a career as a rapper, he chose the stage name EST Gee whose first part is an acronym meaning "Everybody Shines Together." The second part of his stage name is a short form of his first name, George.

Despite having a career that puts him in the public eye, the rapper is private about his life. Although he reportedly has a son and is not currently in a relationship, the rapper has not disclosed the name of his child's mother.

EST Gee's Career from Footballer to Rapper

Before he gained international acclaim as a rapper, Gee was a standout first-team all-state athlete and had a chance at playing football professionally.

He had 98 solo tackles in high school and five forced fumbles, but things changed before he left university. While he was waiting to make the roster for one of the professional sports leagues, they cut him during the preseason.

Gee soon dropped out of the university after 68 credits and decided to follow a career in rap. Unfortunately, shortly after dropping out, he was arrested on drug trafficking charges after being caught with 12 pounds of drugs.

The court charged him with ten years in prison but released him on probation in 2017. After his release, he began making music as the charges had taken him off financial aid.

In an interview in 2020, the rapper revealed that the experience has helped his rap career improve as he has something to say to the world. However, he still had three more years left at the time.

Gee released two mixtapes in 2019, respectively, but only gained mainstream attention in 2020 with the release of his third mixtape, quickly followed by his fourth mixtape within the year.

EST Gee Got Shot 5 Times

In September 2019, Gee got shot five times in his car after he finished shooting a music video with another rapper and singer. He was hit in the stomach four times, and one bullet hit his left eye.

His brother, who was with him, was also shot in the leg. While fighting for his life, the rapper revealed that he was not scared but worried that his son would grow up without a father.

Thankfully, modern medicine saved his eye as the doctors had to change his lens. The rapper said he currently wears a glass lens on his left eye.
