Charlie Kirk's Parents: What to Know About the People Who Raised the Conservative Figure
October 17, 2025

From global stadiums to runway campaigns and social media spotlights, the Beckham family has grown into a modern celebrity dynasty where each child is carving a distinct path, and the public is watching every step.
David and Victoria Beckham welcomed their first child in 1999, and over the years their family expanded to four: sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, followed by daughter Harper.
Now that the children are adults and teens, their lives reflect a mix of creative ambition, athletic experimentation, and the unique pressures that come with growing up famous. In recent months, that attention has intensified amid speculation about a family rift involving Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

The Beckhams became parents when their son Brooklyn was born in March 1999. Their second son, Romeo, arrived in September 2002, followed by Cruz in February 2005, and Harper in July 2011. As the children have grown up, the family’s public image has shifted from celebrity couple to full household of personalities, each with their own interests.
That individual growth has come alongside public scrutiny. In January 2026, speculation around a feud involving Brooklyn and Nicola appeared to escalate when Brooklyn posted a lengthy Instagram Stories message condemning how his family treats Nicola and accusing his parents of being “controlling.”
Brooklyn Joseph Beckham was born on March 4, 1999, at Portland Hospital in London. His name carried personal meaning for his parents: Victoria said she was in New York City when she learned she was pregnant, making “Brooklyn” feel like a fitting choice.
David and Victoria also later named Elton John as Brooklyn’s godfather, linking the family to another major figure in British pop culture.

Brooklyn’s childhood was shaped by both countryside calm and international upheaval. He spent much of his early life in rural Oxfordshire, but his father’s football career eventually took the family to Madrid and Los Angeles. That globe-trotting upbringing gave him access to multiple worlds — sports, fashion, and entertainment.
As a teenager, Brooklyn briefly pursued football seriously, joining Arsenal FC Academy and considering a path similar to David’s. But despite playing football for most of his life, he ultimately decided it wasn’t the career he wanted. He was dropped by the youth team before he turned 16, closing one possible chapter early.

Instead, Brooklyn leaned toward fashion and media. He made his modeling debut on the cover of Man About Town magazine, later appearing on covers such as Vogue China and Miss Vogue, plus British Vogue with his mother and siblings. He also appeared in Interview and Dazed Korea and worked campaigns for brands including Superdry and Huawei.
While modeling, Brooklyn also found a passion that felt more personal: photography. He studied the subject in school and knew it was something he wanted to explore further.
He gained real-world experience by photographing backstage moments at his mom Victoria’s fashion shows. He also shot an ad campaign for Burberry’s Brit fragrance and secured an internship with fashion photographer David Sims.
At just 18, Brooklyn released a photography book titled "What I See," featuring snapshots from his life arranged into chapters meant to tell different stories through images. He later attended Parsons School of Design in New York City, though he only remained for a year.
In recent years, Brooklyn’s focus has turned to food. He hosted “Cookin’ with Brooklyn” on Facebook Watch and launched his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, in 2024.
Romeo James Beckham was born on September 1, 2002, also at Portland Hospital in London. Their 2nd born's early years included serious health concerns. As a toddler, he was hospitalized on numerous occasions, and Victoria later revealed Romeo had been diagnosed with epilepsy, a condition that can cause seizures and convulsions.
After the diagnosis became public, paparazzi reportedly agreed to stop photographing him because constant camera flashes could trigger seizures.

Like his siblings, Romeo attended private schools in London and experienced the unusual blend of normal schooling and public attention.
He entered modeling young, starring in a Burberry Kids campaign at age 10. As a teenager, he landed his first major cover, appearing on L’Uomo Vogue’s Generation Issue.
Athletics also pulled at him. Romeo joined Arsenal FC Academy like Brooklyn, but stepped away at 13. He then devoted time to tennis, training four to five days a week and earning the chance to play alongside professionals including Andy Murray.
Eventually, football called him back. At 19, Romeo joined Fort Lauderdale CF, a sister club of Inter Miami CF, which is co-owned by David. The club competes in League One of the United Soccer League, and Romeo made his professional debut in September 2021 in a match against Tormenta FC.
By 2024, Romeo had stopped playing professional football, instead focusing on a career in fashion and modeling.
Cruz David Beckham was born on February 20, 2005, at Hospital Ruber Internacional in Madrid while David was playing for Real Madrid.
After his birth, David described his newborn son as “beautiful” and said he was “very happy” Cruz was surrounded by his two older brothers. David also said choosing a name was “hard this time,” but the couple found one they both loved and “stuck to it.”

Cruz’s early life also involved international moves. Though born in Spain, he later relocated to Los Angeles when David joined L.A. Galaxy. Cruz showed signs of being comfortable in the spotlight early, including taking the stage with the Spice Girls at age 3.
As he grew older, Cruz leaned toward music. At 11, he announced he would follow in his mother’s footsteps with his first step into the music world.
In December 2016, he released his debut single, “If Every Day Was Christmas,” raising funds for the children’s charity "Make Me Some Noise." He recruited his family to appear in the music video.
Since then, he has developed skills on the guitar, mandolin and piano, and has also learned to record his own music. Cruz continues to work as a musician and songwriter, often playing small gigs around London.
Harper Seven Beckham was born on July 10, 2011, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. David later explained that the couple loved “Harper” as an old English name and appreciated its connection to the author of "To Kill a Mockingbird," Harper Lee. He also described “Seven” as a meaningful symbol, tied to spirituality, luck, and cultural significance.
“The main reason behind Seven was it symbolizes spiritual perfection — the seven wonders of the world, the seven colors of the rainbow — and in many cultures it is a lucky number. We love the name and we love Harper Seven. We are very happy to have her in our lives and in our family, and it is an amazing time for our family right now,” David said in a video.

As Harper has grown up, her parents have shared glimpses of her interests beyond school. She appears eager to try a wide variety of activities, from playing football with her dad to horseback riding and training for judo. She has also joined her family on high-profile red carpets, including premieres for her parents’ documentaries “Beckham” in 2023 and “Victoria Beckham” in 2025.
The Beckham children have grown up with access to rare opportunities and relentless public attention, and each has leaned into different passions — Brooklyn in food and media, Romeo in fashion and professional football, Cruz in music, and Harper in a wide range of hobbies as she enters her teen years.

As the family navigates a new phase with adult children and shifting dynamics, the interest around them isn’t just about fame anymore. It’s also about identity, independence, and how one of the world’s most recognizable households adapts as its youngest members step into their own stories.
